Comprehensive listing of all reports delivered with the standard install of GENERATIONS. All reports must evaluate a found set of records (ex. All transaction of greater than $500 during a period from date…date) In the remainder of this document, the “found set” and “FSLP” terms are used sparingly with the assumption that users understand the vital role of those concepts. Creating the proper found set of records for any given report will create accurate reports of data entered into the solution. For each category, an example “found set” is suggested for testing purposes. This list applies to GENERATIONS versions 3 and 3.5.

Basic – Comprehensive Listing of Transactions and Totals

Data entry

These reports are designed for keeping checks and balances on daily work in the development office.

Cash Receipts Journal -listing of each transaction for the day with full view of all info entered (fund name etc.)

Transaction Entry Validation -single page details of each transaction of the day. Useful for attaching each day’s checks and payments to for reconciliation with business office.

Fiscal year

FY/Fund Totals -summary of all giving for any given fiscal year (or range of fiscal years)

FY/Fund Category Totals -summary of all giving for any given fiscal year with category summaries

Solicitor

Advanced Reports (GN v3.5)

All Advanced Reports are wizard driven which means that they do not rely on an explicit found set of records in Transactions as do the standard reports in GN v2 and v3. Rather, these reports rely on end user choices that are made in a series of dialog boxes presented to the user after they click the report button. Typically, the user will need to choose one or more fiscal years, one or more funds, and may optionally make other choices from the list of choices presented.
