sbPREFS is where all global values for the solution are stored. If there are any problems with the values in SANDBOX, it is a good idea to check sbPREFS to see if the problem is with your settings.
There are six different tabs in sbPREFS which hold distinct values.
- Season/Year: This is where the Current Admission Season, Current Academic Year, YOE, and Current Marking Period are held. These values change on an annual basis and are updated during the end of year procedures.
- Contact: Holds the global values for the school’s information including Name, Address, Phone and Principal Information.
- Capacities: Shows the Grades at your school as well as the Grade Target Enrolling and Reenrolling numbers for the school.
- Process: Shows the global values for the required and not required Process Items that are seen in sbINQUIRIES. These are normally configured upon installation to reflect your school’s admission process.
- Utilities: You can manage account passwords here.
- Grades: Shows the grades offered at your school as well as the different name values for each grade. Changing values here will affect SANDBOX globally so make changes carefully.
