BC3 Server Side Scripts

Accessing the FileMaker server admin console and uploading the new broadcaster files with the FileMaker upload databases.

  1. Launch a web browser.
  2. Enter http:// the IP address of the FileMaker server followed by 16000 (http://Localhost:16000). This will bring you to the FileMaker admin console start page.
  3. Click Start Admin Console. this will download the FileMaker server console java runtime environment.
  4. Click admin_console_website at the bottom left of the window when it is done downloading. This will display the FileMaker admin console login.
  5. Enter your credentials for the FileMaker server.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Once the FileMaker server admin console has been launched, uncompress the BROADCASTER files by double clicking them.
  8. Click on the icon at the top of the page that has a purple arrow pointing up. This will launch the FileMaker server Upload Database Assistant.
  9. Select the folder where you want to place the BROADCASTER files in the Upload Database Assistant.
  10. Click Add Database.
  11. Navigate to the desktop and select the files in the BROADCASTER 3 folder.
  12. Click Next when the files are represented in the Upload Database Assistant listMake sure that the box is checked where it says Automatically Open Databases After Upload.
  13. Click Next. This will upload the new files.
  14. Click Next when the files are uploaded.
  15. Click Finish.

Scheduling broadcaster Server-side Master Script FileMaker Server 13+

  1. Click Schedule in the FileMaker Server Admin Console.
  2. Select the Calendar Icon in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Click Create Schedule.
  4. Select FileMaker Script in the Schedule Assistant.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the BROADCASTER file.
  7. Select Account Name
  8. Type server as the account name and inresonance as the password.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Select the Server-side BROADCASTER Master Script.
  11. Do not set a time limit as a script option.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Select Daily in the Frequency Dropdown menu.
  14. Select Run every one minute.
  15. Set start time to be 12:00am and the end time at 11:59pm.
  16. Click Next.
  17. Name the schedule BROADCASTER Master.
  18. Click Next.
  19. Uncheck the box where it says Send email notification:.
  20. Click Next.
  21. Make sure that the box is checked where it says Enable this schedule.
  22. Click Finish.
