Importing Admitted Inquiries into the STUDENTS File in SANDBOX

As you approach the end of the current admission season (which ends just as the new academic year is about to begin), your list of newly-admitted students (when you clicked the Admit button in the student’s Inquiries file > App/Decision tab) is queued up and waiting for you to import their records into the sbSTUDENTS file.

The action of importing students for the next academic year is part of the SANDBOX End-of-Year Procedures. The sbSTUDENTS file should include only the students currently enrolled in your school.

The end-of-year procedures are completed in one sitting before the new academic year begins. The process is described in the article Sandbox End-of-Year Procedures.

Admitting Rolling Students Mid-year

To admit a new student mid-year, the family will have confirmed the student’s intention to attend by giving you a signed contract and deposit. The student Inquiry type must be Rolling, and the Year of Entry must be the current year.

You will have clicked the Admit button on the Inquiry record > App/Decision tab.

  1. In sbSTUDENTS, navigate to the Reenrollment tab of any record.
  2. In the Mid-year processes area, click Import Rolling Students.

  1. Your rolling admit will be added to sbSTUDENTS.
