TAM2: Teacher Access Module 2

Teacher Access Module 2 (TAM2) offers a web-based interface for teachers to take section-based attendance, enter grades and comments, and to view class lists along with student and family information.

TAM2 also allows advisors to view their advisees’ bio and family information.

If your grading workflow also includes a proofing process, TAM2 allows those individuals to provide feedback to teachers about their grades and comments before making them available to parents and families.

The mobile interface allows teachers to view class lists and record attendance.

Implementation and Setup

For new KEYSTONE clients, TAM2 is often implemented during your KEYSTONE onsite visit. For existing KEYSTONE clients, we can upgrade TAM 1 to TAM2. Please note, however, that if you have customized the TAM 1 module, your customizations may or may not be reproducible in TAM2. Contact Support at [email protected] and we can review your functionality together.

Once TAM2 is implemented there are a few setup tasks that need to be configured by you before using. These are covered in this documentation further on.

  • Preferences configured
  • Users’ roles need to be established
  • Accounts created for users
  • Users notified of account logins

The web interface is intuitive for your users but you may want to provide them with a brief overview as you launch TAM2.

Workflow

TAM2 consists of the following:

  • A URL that teachers and advisors log into to track class attendance and enter and proof grades and comments. The web interface has a link to open the FileMaker TeacherAccess file. Teachers can also access the Criteria-based Reports module if that has been implemented.
  • A TAM2 FileMaker Admin file where you set preferences and establish roles and accounts.
